Umbert greeted us at the loft (bearing wine, muffins, orange juice, creamer, coffee & water) when we arrived and gave us a tour, warned us of the flooding in the shower, told us his favorite places and gave tips on taking the bus vs. metro since the loft is on a hill.
The place is just as pictured but do take care going up/down the stairs and the metal beams upstairs if you’re over 5′ 6″ (168 cm). You’re in a nice residential neighborhood adjacent to Park Guell and another park by the Alfons X metro stop. You can even walk to Sagrada Familia (25 mins) to explore neighborhoods in between. But if you’re not a morning person (or stay out late) and do note that the loft is street-level with the front facing the street, you may hear school kids, scooters, motorcycles, trash getting picked up and your neighbors (fighting, exiting/entering their homes, etc.). Just bring earplugs and you should be fine. Check out this awesome loft!
*The noise did not deter us one bit! We lived like locals and the hill walk gave us perky buns! The loft used to be a paint factory or painter’s studio (my Spanish is not perfect) and was the host’s bachelor pad.
Review From Host
Charm stayed in our loft for some days, they were communicative, kind and polite. Left the apartment in optimal conditions and made us a small present rom SFO;-) I can recommend her to anybody
